Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
The short version: mNemo has no accounts and no advertising, and it never asks for permission to track you. Your learning progress stays on your device. The app sends anonymous usage statistics, recordings of what happens on its own screens, install statistics and crash reports to the services listed below, so that we can see what works and fix what breaks.
This policy describes how the mNemo app for iPhone (“mNemo”, “the app”) handles information. The app is published by Serge German (“we”). Contact: hi.mnemo.project@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
- Your progress in the courses, your records in the chain trainer and the app’s settings are stored on your device only.
- At the first launch the app creates a random identifier for itself. It is used to count the app as one user in the statistics below. It is not your name, email address or device serial number.
- Everything stored on your device is removed when you delete the app.
What is collected
The app uses the following services. They receive the information in this table, without your name, email address or any account:
| Data | Examples | Why | Service |
|---|---|---|---|
| Usage events | The app was opened; a lesson was started or finished; a trainer round was completed and how many words were remembered; which screens were opened | To understand how the app is used and improve it | Amplitude |
| Session recordings | A reconstruction of what the app’s screens showed and where you tapped during a session. Text you type is masked and is not recorded. Nothing outside the app is recorded | To see where lessons are confusing and fix them | Amplitude |
| Install statistics | That the app was installed or opened, the iPhone model, the iOS version, the app version, the country derived from the IP address, and whether the app was opened from a link to it | To know which links and campaigns bring people to the app | AppsFlyer |
| Crash and diagnostic data | What the app was doing when it crashed, the iPhone model, the iOS version and the app version | To find and fix errors | Firebase Crashlytics |
| Remote settings request | The app version and language, and the random identifier above, sent when the app fetches its settings | To turn features on and off without an update | Firebase Remote Config |
| Purchase status | The random identifier above and, if you ever buy a subscription, the receipt that Apple issues. The app does not sell anything today | To know whether a purchase is active | RevenueCat |
The app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not show ads and does not ask for permission to track. The information above is not tied to your identity, is not used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, and is not sold.
Who receives it
These companies process the data above on our behalf and may store it on servers outside your country:
- Amplitude, Inc. — usage statistics and session recordings. Amplitude Privacy Notice
- AppsFlyer Ltd. — install statistics. AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy
- Google LLC — crash reports and remote settings through Firebase. Privacy and Security in Firebase
- RevenueCat, Inc. — purchase status. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
We do not share data with anyone else, except when the law requires it.
When you write to us
The app offers two ways to reach us. If you email us or write on Instagram, we receive your address or account name and what you write, and we use it only to answer you. If you send an idea through the form inside the app, we receive the text you typed together with the random identifier above, so that we can see the context of your suggestion; this form is only shown after you finish a course.
How long it is kept
Session recordings are kept for 30 days. Other usage, install and crash data is kept by the services above for the periods they set and then deleted or made anonymous. Messages are kept for as long as needed to help you. Everything stored on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Your choices and rights
- You can stop all collection by deleting the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Because the data is not tied to your identity, we may not be able to find yours; write to us and we will do what we can.
Children
mNemo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
